Dr. Rhonda GilbyHi! I’m Dr. Rhonda Gilby, a clinical psychologist, registered to practice in the province of Ontario, Canada.  For over 30 years, I’ve worked with children, adolescents and young adults who were struggling to cope with many varied stressors in their lives. Also, for over 10 years, I taught several psychology courses at Western University in London, Ontario. One particular course that I enjoyed teaching was a course called Human Adjustment.  The course examined how findings and ideas from the field of psychology could be applied to help us cope in our everyday lives – important information in today’s world where so many of us (including a large proportion of students) are often feeling anxious and overwhelmed.

I know that it’s not always easy.  Life can be tough … but so can you!  Sometimes, you can avoid the tough times; other times you can learn better ways to cope with them. That’s why I’m putting together my blog, to share some of the coping tips from my psychology course that, hopefully, will help make life’s challenges just a little bit easier to manage.
